Jamaat-i-Islami urges Punjab government to hold talks with doctors

Deputy Secretary General, Jamaat-i-Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has called upon the Punjab government to initiate talks with the young doctors and accept their genuine demands. He said that the deadlock between the young doctors and the government had created problems for the government, the medical community and also the public.
The efficiency of the Health department was being questioned as patients travelling from far off places to government hospitals were not getting any health facility. He urged the provincial government not to adopt fascist tactics against the doctors and to try and resolve the situation through mutual understanding.
