Ephedrine case: Lashari issued fresh notice

A special court of Control of Narcotics Substances (CNS) on Tuesday issued a fresh notice to Khoshnood Khan Lashari, former principal secretary to prime minister and former secretary health, one of the accused in ephedrine quota allotment case. Special Judge CNS Arshad Mehmood Tabassum, while hearing the ephedrine quota case, issued notice to Lashari and directed him to appear before the court on February 22.
The court also directed Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to produce the details of assets of other accused of the case by the next hearing. The other accused of the case include Federal Minister for Textile Makkhdoom Shahabuddin, Ali Musa Gilani and Fauzia Gilani. Faisal Chaudhry, the counsel for Ali Musa Gilani, said that his client had been implicated in this particular case on political grounds. ANF has failed to arrest the approver, according to him.
