14 Feb, 2013

Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Mushir Alam has said that after the judges' restoration movement the government had a golden chance to change the fate of country through revolution. Addressing members of Hyderabad Bar Association here on Wednesday, the SHC chief justice said had the court verdicts been implemented the situation of the country would have been different.
He said the lack of judges in the courts had not been overcome due to interference of the government. He said they could fill the courts with judges but their aim was to bring able persons. The SHC chief justice further said the respect of courts is limited to words only - the actual situation is opposite to it. The people travelling in big vehicles do not pay taxes, however, the judges are blamed, he added.
