Ex vice chancellor of University of Karachi professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Siddiqui, JI Sindh chief Dr Mirajul Huda Siddqui and former justice Saeed-u-Zaman Siddiqui visited the book fair at the varsity, which entered second day on Wednesday. Speakers lauded Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) for organising the fair, saying that book reading habit played an important role in character building of youngsters.
"In present economic situation, when prices are sky-high, organising a book fair and providing books on nominal rates is a tremendous job," they added. They asked the students to adopt a habit of book reading in order to become a good citizen. IJT's KU Nazim Abdullah Jawaid also spoke on the occasion.
