Former Pakistan cricket team captain Aamir Sohail was among the expert panellists discussing how to promote talent at an awards ceremony in Lahore, which celebrated the success of students who scored high marks in exams conducted by ACCA. He said that talent did not know or realise its true potential, it is up to us to help them and hone them. He also said that he was delighted that talent was being taken up as an important issue, and that talks were being held about it.
Aamer Chaudry, Director General IT, said that "talent in our country has grown and developed despite all challenges and this is a success for us." Mudassar Aqil said that his organisation realised the value of talent promotion and was investing heavily on it. He was joined on the panel by Mohammad Mudassar Aqil, President & CEO, Kashf Microfinance Bank Limited, and Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan to discuss key issues around how organisations can develop a culture to promote and foster talent.
Students who scored high marks in ACCA's Foundations in Accountancy and professional level examinations were presented with awards. The Head of ACCA Pakistan said: "We are delighted to not only be able to recognise the skill and hard work of our students who have achieved high marks in what are demanding examinations, but also to have outstanding experts to discuss how best organisations in Pakistan can nurture and promote talent for their benefit and for the wider good of the whole economy."-PR
