The visiting Afghanistan cricket team scored a fine 52 run victory over Stags in a T20 cricket match here on Friday at Stags cricket ground. Afghanistan batted first were all out at 128 in 20 overs. Asghar Astangzai top scored with solid 61 followed by Javeed Ahmadi 37. Stags Muhammad Faisal took 3/21, Sheraz Butt 2/21, Atif Jabbar 1/5 and Salman Ali 1/49 wickets.
In reply Stags Club were cheaply dismissed at 76 in 19.2. Umar Akmal 20 runs and Muhammad Faisal 13 runs not out were the main scorers. Afghanistan's bowlers Mir Waiz took 4/8, Hamza Hotik 2/6, Noroz 1/6 and Gulbadeen 1/13 wickets. Rana Sohail Manzoor and Tasadaq Jamal were the umpires and Zahoor Alam was the scorer. Chief Executive PVCA Nawab Ashiq Hussain Qureshi and large number of families and spectators were present. Chief Guest President Stags Cricket Club gave away prizes to players.
