Swiss team to visit Pakistan to explore investment avenues

The Ambassador of Switzerland at Islamabad Christophe Bubb has informed that a high level trade delegation of his country will soon visit Pakistan to review the possibility of investment in different sectors. While addressing the members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) here at the Chamber's Secretariat on Wednesday evening, he said that relations between the two countries are being strengthened with the passage of time and the Swiss investors have made investments in different projects of the country.
He however, said that industrial sector of the country is being affected due to energy crisis and without energy, the industrial production could not be possible. The agro-based industry of the country is suitable for investment, he said. President HCCI Goharullah in his welcome address said that due to satisfactory law and order situation, Hyderabad is the ideal city for foreign investment.
He said that trade relations between the two countries are being improved at a rapid pace and the trade quantum could be improved on a large scale if Pakistani products could receive relief in taxes in Switzerland. He invited the trade delegation to visit Hyderabad where investment opportunities are available in different sectors including agro-based and power generation.
Among others, Senior Vice President HCCI Turab Ali Khoja, former vice-president Ziauddin, former president Emmad Siddiqui, members Maqsood Ahmed Khan, Syed Yawer Ali Shah, Masroor Iqbal Jaferi, Sikandar Dhandhuri, Zulfiqar Chohan, Dr Zulfiqar Yousfani, Muhammad Shahid, Rehan Ahmed, Abdul Sattar Khan, Iqbal Baig, Dr Farid, Haji Ikhtiar Ahmed, Yousuf Dada, Nawab Ahmed Khanzada, Salim A. Shaikh, Abdul Qayoom Nusrat and Zia Masroor were also present on the occasion.
