Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah Khan, has said that Sharjeel Memon should peep into his conscience before commenting over the law and order situation in Punjab. Commenting upon the statement of Sharjeel Memon, Rana Sanaullah accused the Sindh government of patronizing target killing and extortion in Karachi. He said that PML-N had always raised voice against terrorism.
He advised Sharjeel Memon to pay attention to improving the performance of Sindh government instead of levelling baseless allegations against Punjab government where dozens of people were being killed daily. He questioned why Sharjeel Memon could not see target killing, extortion and lawlessness in Karachi and take action against it.
Rana Sanaullah said that Punjab government has always taken vigorous action against terrorist organisations whereas PPP had always been patronizing these organisations. He said that PPP federal and provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan issued arm licenses to the persons belonging to terrorist organisations.
Meanwhile, Member National Assembly Abid Sher Ali has said that from the day Sharjeel Memon has come to Lahore, the incidents of killing and extortion in Karachi have decreased. He said that Rehman Malik who advises others for maintaining law and order should also investigate that what was the link between arrival of Sharjeel Memon in Lahore and decrease of crimes in Karachi.
