Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, on Sunday directed the Department of Industries and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar for preparation of a detailed report on the social security tax to find solution to the matter.
He issued these directives while talking to a delegation of traders of Arbab Road and other bazaars of Peshawar Cantonment here in Chief Minister's House. Provincial Minister for Sports, Aqil Shah and Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar, Mohammad Javed Marwat were also present on the occasion.
The delegation was comprised of Ahmad Nawaz, Khalid, Chaudhry Shahid and Aftaz Ahmad.
The traders apprised the Chief Minister their apprehensions and difficulties regarding Social Security Tax and requested review on it. They said the trading community could not afford the levy of any new tax in the prevailing situation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the courage of the trading community for continuing their businesses despite terrorism, saying they play important role in the promotion of economic activities in the province. He assured them of the removal of their all reservations regarding the social security tax.
The members of the delegation appreciated Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti and his government for combating terrorism with bravery and making struggle for the restoration of peace. They thanked both Chief Minister and Provincial Minister Aqil Shah for giving sympathetic hearing to their problems and taking personal interest in their resolution.
