Taiwan stocks slid 1.2 percent in their steepest one-day percentage fall in more than three months, joining China and most regional bourses in declining. The main TAIEX index ended down 97.29 points at 7,867.34, marking its biggest daily percentage fall since mid-November and its lowest closing level in about one month. The electronics and banking subindexes fell 1 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively. The Taiwan dollar inched down T$0.004 to stand at T$29.670 to the US dollar.
