A total of $3.179 billion provided under Kerry Lugar Bill by the United States has been disbursed from 2009 to 2012 including $2.1 billion for civilian assistance and $1.06 billion for flood victims.
"In Financial year 2010, a total of $1.513 billion was indicated while $1.039 was pledged. A total of $929.24 million was also obligated in FY 2011. In FY 2012, $670 million disbursed till June 2012 while US released additional $280 million on August 2012 to support energy sector (total disbursed: $950 million," Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar Wednesday told the National Assembly.
In a written reply to the questions of MNA Ms Nisar Tanveer, the minister said that total disbursement from October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2012 stands at US $3.179 billion. A total of $1.026 was appropriated in 2012-13 but the amount is yet to be determined, she said.
