'Pakistan and China committed to taking bilateral trade to $15 billion by 2015'

Pakistan and China are committed to take the volume of bilateral trade to $15 billion by 2015. China is Pakistan's largest trading partner; and Pakistan is China's second largest trading partner in South Asia, said Tariq Sayeed, Pattern In-Chief Pak-China Business Council and Vice President Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce & Industry.
While welcoming Wang Xiaoguang, Deputy Director of Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs Chingdu, and Chinese delegation who visited FPCCI on Wednesday, Tariq Sayeed said that Pakistan and China enjoyed excellent commercial relations, with the volume of trade standing at $12 billion. He further informed that Pakistan-China trade increased by 17.6 percent to a total of $12.4 billion in 2012. Pakistan's exports to China increased by 48.2 percent to $3.14 billion. Import from China increased by 9.9 percent amounting to $9.2 billion.
