The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has deleted the companies’ pages from the social media app Facebook after its WhatsApp co-founder tweeted #deletefacebook following the news of data breach scandal of Cambridge Analytica.
It started a few days ago when WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton tweeted, “It is time. #deletefacebook.” On Friday morning, Musk replied to the tweet saying, “What’s Facebook?”
Later, a fan decided to jump in challenging Musk to deleted the SpaceX page if he’s ‘the man’. Musk, who was unaware of the SpaceX page, casually replied that he didn’t know there was a page and will delete that as well. He further said that the SpaceX page ‘will be gone soon’ and that he had ‘literally never seen it even once’.

Within 30 minutes of the tweets, the Facebook official pages of SpaceX and Tesla vanished. As per Business Insider, Musk also claimed that Facebook’s authority had started to affect the company’s other social media site Instagram as well. However, the companies’ Instagram pages are still there.
