Taiwan stocks rose 0.7 percent to a more than two-week high on Friday, with financial shares leading the momentum. The main TAIEX index closed at 8,015.14, a level not seen since February 20. Banks surged 2.1 percent, while techs added 0.3 percent. The Taiwan dollar inched up T$0.044 to stand at T$29.651 to the US dollar.
