Mubashir moves Supreme Court

Federal minister during Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's government Dr Mubashir Hassan has approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan for free, fair and timely elections. He has also urged the court to stop tax evaders, defaulters and bogus degree holders from participating in it.
He has also prayed to the court to form a special bench to ensure that the Election Commission of Pakistan along with all State functionaries performed their functions in accordance with the law. Dr Hassan through Muhammad Azhar Siddique also prayed to the court to declare "illegal" regularisation of 100,000 contractual employees by Punjab government.
He said all such steps should be declared as a bribe to woo voters. The petitioner has also sought directions for heads of PML-F, PML-N, PTI, PPPP, PML-Q, MQM, JUI (F), and ANP to file lists that none of the persons going to contest forthcoming elections is a forgeror, or a tax evader, or a loan defaulter, and has indulged in corruption and corrupt practices.
