Two influential members of the federal Cabinet are likely to retain public offices after the dissolution of the National Assembly and the Cabinet. Sources said that Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik and Federal Minister for Petroleum, Dr Asim Hussain will retain public offices even after the dissolution of the Cabinet.
This decision has been taken by senior leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party, sources said. Malik will be retained as Security Adviser to the President while Dr Asim Hussain will assume new duties at the Presidency as Personal Physician of the President.
