Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of GC University Faisalabad's new campus worth Rs 30 billion on 200 acres. He was flanked by GCUF Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Zakir Hussain, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, representatives of Provincial Assembly and other notables.
He said that Punjab government had introduced many reforms for educational sector in order to excel in the world. Education is the key of progress of any country. He said that these initiatives include laptop distribution scheme worth Rs 8 billion that will give an access of modern researches and knowledge to 2,10,000 students.
He said solar lamps worth Rs 2.5 billion were also being distributed among the talented students of schools. He added the Punjab Education Endowment Fund scholarships worth Rs 10 billion would help talented and deserving students to continue their students.
