All blood banks asked to get registered with PBTA

Secretary Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority (PBTA) Dr Jafar Saleem has said that under Punjab Transfusion of Safe Blood Ordinance 1999, all public and private blood banks are bound to get registered with PBTA and without getting license functioning of a blood bank will be illegal.
He said that all owners and administration of blood banks have been asked to deposit application forms for this purpose in the office of PBTA at 5-Montgomery Road Lahore by 31st March. These application forms are available in the office of PBTA free of cost and can be downloaded from the Health Department's website htep:/health.punjab.gov.pk, he said.
