Curfew and strict restrictions have been imposed by Indian authorities in occupied Srinagar and other parts of the valley on Thursday to prevent protests against the killing of a 22-year-old civilian by Indian paramilitary forces on Wednesday.
Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel had fired on people without any reason in which one civilian Altaf Ahmed Wani was killed and another was critically injured at Zoonimar-Saidapora Soura, KMS reported. A senior police official said that curfew and strict restrictions were enforced in Srinagar and other towns of the valley, adding that additional forces were deployed across the valley.
