Minister for National Food Security, Mir Israrullah Zehri has appreciated the services of high officials of Ministry of NFS&R and Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) scientists in achieving self-sufficiency in food production and its security.
He was addressing a farewell party hosted by National Food Security and Research and the scientists and staff of PARC in honour of him and State Minister for Food Security Moazzam Ali Khan Jatoi after completion of five years of democratic government, says a press release issue on Friday. The event was addressed among others by Secretary National Food Security Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri, Additional Secretary Abdul Basit DG NARC, Dr Ashraf Kalu and Director Public Relation and Protocol PARC, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa. The Minister said that credit of achieving self-sufficiency went to the scientists and field staff of the Council whose dedicated contribution lead to achieve food security in the country.
He said that PPP lead government is completing its five year term and made efforts for promotion of agriculture sector in the country. Moazzam Ali said the success of the ministry of National Food Security was actually the success of the entire staff of the ministry. Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri and Abdul Basit said that with the co-operation of ministry of National Food Security, the country has become self-sufficient in wheat, rice, cotton and other agriculture products. PARC scientists and other high officials are also present on the occasion.-PR
