Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has expressed his heartfelt condolence on the sad demise of Air Commodore M M Alam (Retd), a great hero of the 1965 war, the ISPR said. General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), also expressed condolences on the demise of M M Alam.
He applauded M M Alam's patriotism and sense of devotion towards Pakistan and Pakistan Air Force for which he is an icon to be followed. Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker, National Assembly has condoled the passing away of Hero of 65 war, former Air commodore Muhammad Mustafa Mahmood Alam. In her condolence message, the Speaker expressed her heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of M M Alam. She prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.
Meanwhile, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah while expressing grief and sorrow over the death of legendary figure of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Muhammad Mahmood Alam, said that the nation have been deprived of a brave hero. He paid tribute to the courageous role and exemplary sacrifices of the hero of the nation and further stated that he will always be remembered with great dignity and honour and his achievements will always be a source of inspiration to all concerned. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with patience.
