"Terrorists have also started targeting MQM workers for the past few days. MPA Manzar Imam of the MQM was gunned down on 17th January. A bomb blast in Khurramabad area of Landhi resulted in the death of two MQM workers and injuring of several other people," he recalled. He said that the criminal activities of the Lyari gangsters were also on the rise and they demanded heavy amount of money as extortion from industrialists, traders, transporters and other people and on refusal shot them dead brutally. He appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Raja Pervez Ashraf, CoAS General Ashfaque Pervez Kayani and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the killings of MQM workers, Ulema, educationalists, doctors and innocent people and bring the killers to justice.
