Afridi, Younis and Asad back from South Africa

26 Mar, 2013

Three Karachi cricketers including two former Pakistan captains Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi with Asad Shafiq returned here on Monday after disappointing tour of South Africa. Pakistan lost the three match Test series 3-0 and 5-match One-day International series 3-2 while in a one-off Twenty20 match Pakistan beat host South Africa.
Younis Khan and Asad Shafiq were the lone century makers in the Test series. During the One-day series Shahid Afridi created two unique world records of striking 308 sixes in 354 ODIs and getting 29 ducks. No Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official was at the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport to receive them. Rest of the team members will be landing at Allama Iqbal Airport in Lahore in the wee hours of Tuesday.
