Prices move both ways on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of moderate trading, dealers said. On the grams side, grams 50x50 gained Rs 200 to Rs 5500-5900, yellow peas Russia shed Rs 50 to Rs 4900 and 5100 due to tight easy supply, the yellow peas Russia lost Rs 100 to Rs 5300-5500, other items managed to hold the last levels in the process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was lower by Rs 45 to Rs 3380 and better type followed same pattern, losing Rs 50 to Rs 3450 due to slight improvement in demand by consumers, they said. On the seeds side, rapeseeds Dadulane (new) low type was unchanged at Rs 2100 and the best type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 2150, Castor seeds Sindh low variety was lower by Rs 10 to Rs 1615 and the good type was unchanged at Rs 1650, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (new) easier type was sharply higher by Rs 100 to Rs 1100 and the better variety also picked up Rs 50 to Rs 1250, they said. On the cereals side, prices were inert in the process of trading, they said.
