Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have opposed the decision of party Parliamentary Board for awarding ticket to Younus Zaheer at provincial assembly constituency PK-2, and urged party leaders to give priority to ideological workers.
While speaking at a press conference at press club on Friday, PTI senior vice President in the respective constituency Waqas Sethi said that giving party ticket to incompetent persons will harm party interests. He added that in PK-2 Younus is an unwise decision, as the decision was quite against the aspirations of party workers and local leaders.
Flanked by PTI local leader Naqash Ali, he said that the stated ticket is not ideological, dedicated and committed worker who usually spent his most of the time abroad, then how he will serve the people of the constituency. The decision of the Parliamentary Board to give ticket to such a person was tantamount to loose the PK-2 seat, he maintained. Supporting another nominee Zahid Nadeem, for party ticket, he claimed had introduced PTI in KP-2 but despite that ignored by parliamentary board of the party.
