1,005 students awarded degrees at UoL convocation

The third Convocation of the University of Lahore (UoL) was held on March 26, at Defence Road Campus, Lahore. Patron of the University M A Rauf, Chairman Awais Raoof and Chancellor M H Qazi was the chief guest on the occasion. On convocation, a total of 1,005 students were awarded degrees in various disciplines and Programmes, while gold medals were also awarded to position holders.
The convocation was attended by educationists, all graduate/Postgraduate students from UoL and their parents. Patron UoL M A Rauf, in his welcome address, thanked all Board of Governors and Faculty for sparing his valuable time to become a part of this convocation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that since its establishment in 1999 and as a degree awarding institute in 2002, University of Lahore (UoL) had always been at the forefront of innovation. In a short span of time, it has played a proactive role in shaping and accelerating the modern day Higher Education landscape in Pakistan.
UoL Chairman Awais Rauf, while addressing the convocation appreciated the efforts made by MA Rauf for the development of UoL, as one of the best private sector university of Pakistan. He Congratulated and passed on good wishes to all graduated students especially award winners on their brilliant performance.
Rector University of Lahore (UoL) Saleem Shuja added that UOL was the first Pakistani University ranked among top Asian Universities according to QS ranking. He further added that recently Higher Education Commission (HEC) had awarded top ranked four stars W4 category to UoL which was now considered highest university ranking. At the end, he advised the students to work hard with full dedication and commitment so as to do extremely well in life.-PR
