Party workers of the PML-N are showing their resentment over declining tickets to the sitting MNAs and MPAs, particularly in district Lahore and adjacent areas. The party sources said former senior minister Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa also called on party Chief Nawaz Sharif and expressed his concerns over possible joining of Legharis of South Punjab to the party fold.
It may be noted that the Legharis and Khosas are traditional rivals in D G Khan. According to the party sources, PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif assured Khosa of not taking any decision without consulting him on the issue. Meanwhile, an interesting situation developed when a PML-N worker climbed an electric pole in protest when party ticket was not awarded to a local political leader. At PML-N party secretariat in Lahore, several party workers protested against PML-N leadership decision not to award party ticket to a local leader, Javed Watto.
