Election 2013: rivals flexing their muscles in Sialkot

The election fever is on the rise as the rivals flexing the political muscles and diligently wooing voters to win their maximum support in and around Sialkot. It was observed that the local leaders of certain political parties and contesting candidates have changed their attitude and tones for getting support of the voters during fast approaching general election.
Political parties including PML-N, PPP, PML-Q and PTI were trying to put strong candidates in the elections. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is gaining popularity by every passing day in rural and urban areas of Sialkot district. The PTI popularity and massive support of the general public particularly the youth was eye-opening for stiff necked Central leader of PML-N Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
According to political pundits that political tsunami of PTI will hit NA-110 and NA-111 and will pave the way for dismantling so-called invincible forts of PML-N and PPP. They further said during past five years Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan tried to demonstrate her supremacy to impress the voters and opponents just to pose self stability. Firdous Awan was responsible for the defeat of PPP candidate contesting election for Azad Kashmir Assembly and strengthening the PPP at grass roots level and she preferred solo flight by ignoring local PPP leadership, they said.
Despite the visit of King and Queen Makers to Kuba Chak, the results of the elections would be entirely different as compared to previous elections, they said. The political pundits further told that people are become silent spectators and adopted the policy of "Wait and See" in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district.
The most of the voters are reluctant to show their party affiliation and interest in fast approaching general elections. Overall the election "Hala Gula" is gaining pace in and around Sialkot. While expressing views the male and females bitterly criticising the PPP-led government they said the government had ruined the government departments and economy of the country and nothing done for providing any relief to the common man during its five years tenure had laid successfully a thorny bed for the poor segment of the society, they opined.
The prolonged outage electricity and Sui gas, rapid increase in electricity and gas tariff to many folds and price hike are the unique gifts of people's government in other words it was an attempt of snatching bread and butter of the middle and poor segment of the society, they said. They questioned that what type of services PPP government had rendered for the betterment and reduce the miseries of the common man during five years during its tenure? Ms Yasmeen Saeed, while expressing her views said the democratic government left a legacy of massive corruption and incompetence pushing the country and masses in total gloom.
Most of the economic, fiscal foreign and internal policies of the government met with failure resultantly Pakistan faced humiliation on various occasion, she said. Robina alleged that government continued to plunder national resources during five years and successfully made a history of loot during last few days.
While expressing her views Miss Robina Ali said that the PPP government despite tall claims of merit during its tenure had ruined the state departments by recruiting incompetent people in various departments for the personal gains as a result of the output of the departments is zero. She said a local federal minister during the tenure had focused on self-projection and for this she misused the government controlled media ruthlessly, which was an extra burden on national exchequer for which she is accountable.
