ANP provincial leader, and a candidate from PK-3, Haroon Ahmad Bilour claimed they will gain another term on basis of their performance during last five years, saying that his party would continue its efforts for establishment of peace, integrity and democracy of the country.
Speaking at a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Sunday, he said ANP had brought a change by rendering sacrifices of their leaders and workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He claimed the ANP will again form its government in province on the basis of its performance.
On the occasion, Haji Mohammad Rauf along with friends and family members from Union Council Asiya Gate, announced to join Awami National Party.
Haroon Bilour said the party had rendered numerous sacrifices for peace, integrity and solidarity of the country, particularly for the Pakhtuns soil. We had lost more than 800 workers for establishment of peace, he added.
He viewed that they would address the grievances of dissident workers, and return back them into party, while stalwarts from other political parties were also joined to Awami National Party.
Recounting the five-year performance of ANP government, he said the provincial autonomy, raising of literacy rate and completion of record development projects are the key achievement of the former ANP-led coalition government. He said they would continue development by gaining another five-year term in the next general elections.
He said those forces, which raising slogans for brining change, had remained unaware about terrorism and militancy. But, he said, masses had accepted the sacrifices of ANP in this war against terrorism. He urged the masses to vote only those political parties, who really work for peace and development in the province.
