Several actresses, singers and even eunuchs submitted their nomination forms to contest general elections in Pakistan this year. In another surprise move, Chacha Mushtaq, a peddler, has announced to contest polls for a provincial assembly seat from Punjab.
Chacha Mushtaq got nomination papers on Saturday and was planning to submit it to returning officer in Muzaffargarh district for PA-254 on Sunday.
Chacha says he is selling chickpeas by travelling in the streets since 1940. "I am confident to win MPA seat from PA-254," said the peddler, who was elected as labour councillor in ex-President Pervez Musharraf's era. Musharraf had invited Chacha to Islamabad when he was elected as councilor.
