Mushtaq refuses to quit SBP job

Dr Mushtaq Ali Khan refused to resign his permanent job at the State Bank of Pakistan in order to take oath as minister in the Federal Cabinet on Tuesday. Dr Khan was given a verbal assurance that he could come back into SBP after his stint in Islamabad but he refused the high office because he enjoys the professional task at SBP and was not interested in perks or immeasurable impact it would have on his CV. Khan was the youngest person to be nominated for the prestigious office. Khan had not sought the office of the Minister of Finance.
