NAB mobilised against Pesco defaulters

A meeting of the officials of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) was held in connection with recovery of Pesco arrears from defaulting consumers. Pesco Chief Executive Tariq Saddozai, chief engineers, senior officers & NAB high level officers attended the meeting.
The notices already been given to the Pesco defaulters has been expired on Friday, and it was decided that all the running defaulters and permanent disconnected consumers must immediately pay their arrears. No other chance or Notice will be given to the defaulters.
The government has mobilised the NAB for the recovery of Pesco arrears and NAB has shown their interest to provide all possible support in this regard. So all the Pesco defaulters are finally directed to make payment of Pesco on Friday and just now, otherwise not only their power supply will be disconnected by Pesco but legal action will be taken by the NAB and they will be arrested, their property could be confiscated and other stern action could also be taken.
In this connection Pesco officers and officials were also warned that if any defaulter and permanent disconnected consumers were provided with electricity illegally they would also be nabbed while punitive action will also be taken by the NAB against such officials.
