Efforts on to hold free, fair elections: Dr Sania

Caretaker Federal Minister for Education and Training Dr Sania Nishtar said the main objective of the caretaker set-up was to hold free, fair and transparent election in the country and all-out efforts would be made to make the dream a reality. She said this while speaking to media person in her maiden press briefing here on Friday. Dr Sania Nishtar holds three important portfolios, ie Ministry of Information Technology (IT), Capital Administration and Development (CAD) and Education and Training.
The Minister said the IT Ministry played a vital role in the country especially on the occasion of election. However, more efforts would be made in all the three ministries that maximum help could be extended to the Election Commission of Pakistan for holding free and fair elections.
Responding to queries, she said though "we here for limited period yet will do to the best of our abilities and capacities. Our first and foremost priority would be to work with the Election Commission to hold free and fair elections. She expressed satisfaction over the administrative machinery of the Ministry of Education and Training and said she would certainly do something for the betterment of the ministry.
The caretaker minister further said that media played vital role in creating awareness among the people and therefore, it would be taken on board regarding any decision. She further said that after taking briefing from the Ministry officials, further initiatives would be taken to bring improvement in the sector.
