Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui has said that people would bury the terrorists, extortionists and targeted killers on May through their votes. This he stated while addressing a JI workers' convention in North Nazimabad area. "The JI has become a ray of hope for the people of the country and it would develop the country after coming into power," he added.
He said that the sincere and honest leadership of JI would change the destiny of the people. "The day is not far when the country, particularly Karachi will become the epicenter of peace and tranquility," he added.
On the occasion, Dr Siddiqui said that the deteriorated law and order situation of the city had turned Karachi among the top six dangerous cities of the world.
He pointed out that 900 people had been killed during last three months in the city. However, the former government and its coalition partners instead of resolving the problems of the people were busy in enjoying the luxuries.
General Secretary JI Karachi Naseem Siddiqui said that the basic aim of JI to participate in the general elections was to handover power to the honest and sincere leadership.
"We want to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state same as Madina where every person enjoys equal rights," he added. Lauding the manifesto of JI, Naseem Siddiqui said that JI wanted to eliminate inflation, unemployment, extortion and load shedding and to give exemplary boost to education and health sectors.
Chief of JI District Central Farooq Naimatullah and others also spoke on the occasion.
