Election campaign getting momentum in capital

08 Apr, 2013

The election campaign is getting momentum with every passing day as banners and posters of political parties could be seen everywhere in the federal capital, besides on traffic signboards on the roads.
Citizens talking to INP said that displaying posters of candidates has become a problem because activists of political parties paste posters on sign boards, poles and on signboards of different departments alongside roads of the federal capital.
Muhammad Shahid, a student said that Capital Development Authority (CDA) should take stern action against those who paste posters on signboards and other inappropriate places.
"It seems Islamabad belongs to the political parties only because they paste posters anywhere with full impunity," he added. Citizens demanded the CDA to take notice of the illegal promotion ahead of general elections and ensure implementation of code of conduct of the Election Commission Pakistan (ECP).
