Jammiat Ulema e Islam (JUI-S) has lauded the action taken by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to expose bogus degree holders and said it was in line with the constitutional requirement.
Talking to APP, Zaheer ud Din Babar, Deputy Secretary Jammiat Ulama e Islam (JUI-S) here on Sunday said that such steps were in the "right direction." He observed that with the active pre-elections process all over the country, an environment for stronger democracy was being created.
To a question, Zaheer ud Din Babar claimed that if transparent elections were conducted then JUI-S would win more seats than in the past. About seat adjustment, he said, "The matter is being discussed with other political, religious parties as well."
He stated that his party had trained their district and Tehsil office bearers and party workers to work for the betterment of the country and unity of nation and Muslim Ummah.
