The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan bench on Monday admitted an appeal for hearing, filed by former MNA Jamshed Dasti against his jail sentence in fake degree case. Dasti, who was to contest elections against former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar as an independent case, was sentenced to three years in prison by a district and session court after being convicted over possession of fake degree.
The LHC will take up the case on Tuesday. Dasti's counsel hoped that his client would get justice from superior courts.
