Three fall prey to Karachi violence

At least three persons were killed in separate incidents of violence at various parts of the metropolis here on Monday. According to police and rescue sources, a man identified as Javed along with his accomplice barged into his residence (house No 1298) located at Yousuf Goth in the limits of Surjani Town police station and opened indiscriminate gunshots on his wife named Tasneem and his daughter Asma. As a result, both were injured but Tasneem succumbed to her injuries.
Police said the accused Javed claimed her life over suspicious of having an affair and added that raids were being conducted to nab him. A man, who appeared to be in his mid-twenties, was found dead in Kaneez Fatima Society in the Surjani Town area. Police said the victim was murdered after severe torture and added that identity of the victim could not be ascertained. Another man named Irfan, 30, was gunned down near UP More in the jurisdiction of New Karachi police station. Police said the victim had a criminal record and might have been killed by his associates.
