Isolated rains likely

The Met Office on Monday forecast widespread rains/thundershowers in Balochistan in the next 24 hours. It says isolated rains/thundershowers are also expected in Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
"A strong westerly system prevailing over Balochistan and Sindh is likely to grip upper parts of the country tonight," it said. Weather remained dry in most parts of the country on Monday. However, scattered rains/thundershowers occurred in Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Makran divisions. Rainfall recorded in millimetres: Jiwani 45, Nokkundi 30, Pasni 24, Karachi (AP) 23, Parachinar 16 and Turbat 10. According to marine forecast for Sindh and Balochistan, dust-thunderstorm/rains are likely to hit a number of places.
