Malakand University: employees stage protest against administration

Employees of different public sector universities on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the administration of Malakand University, and removal of their colleague. The protest was led by a member of Universities Employees Federation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Sahel along with dozens of employees of the various public sector universities.
The participants were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the Vice Chancellor of Malakand University, demanding for immediate reinstatement of a colleague, Mohammad Irfan. Addressing the demonstrators, the speakers condemned the non-friendly attitude of VC and administration of Malakand University with the employees. They said the administration was adopted unjustified policy against the poor employees, which can be more tolerated.
They said the education system was deteriorating due to political intervention in the university with each passing day. The protesting employees vowed that the agitation campaign would continue till the reinstatement of Mohammad Irfan and lifting of ban on the associations in the university. They also warned that if their demands were not fulfilled, they would stage sit-in outside the Governor house.
