Bid to blow up Taftan train foiled

A bid to blow up Taftan passenger train with explosives, coming to Quetta from Iran, was foiled early Monday morning. According to details, some unidentified militants used a remote device, planted at the railway track near Dalbandin, to blow up Taftan passenger train when it was on its way to Quetta from Iran. Luckily the explosion occurred when 22 bogeys of Taftan passenger train crossed the spot of the blast.
The explosion was so severe that it damaged a 3-foot railway track. The local administration and security officials reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Later the security personnel started search operation for hunting the militants.
