The Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) funded Economic Revitalisation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata (ERKF) project is focusing on the up-gradation of SMEs of the region. This was stated by Project Manager, ERKF while talking to Industrial Association of Small Industrial Estate (SIE), Abbottabad. The meeting was attended by Haji Iftikhar and others from Industrialist Association of Small Industrial Estate and Muhammad Kamran Khan, Regional Business Co-ordinator, Smeda Abbottabad.
He briefed the participants on the salient features of Economic Revitalisation of KP and ERKF project and responded to the queries of participants regarding different issues related to application and procedures under ERKF project. He informed the participants that the project has so far awarded 300 grants worth Rs 250 million in different areas of the province and Fata.
He stressed Industrialist Association of Small Industrial Estate, Abbottabad to come forward and guide fellow SMEs to bring genuine cases to the PU-Smeda for funding under the project. These grants are available for the development of SMEs of Small Industrial Estate both in individual capacity and cluster based up-gradation grants under the project.
