Rescue 1122 issues RTAs report

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has managed 508 road traffic accidents (RTAs) in all districts of the Punjab in last 24 hours, in which 03 precious lives were lost and 418 victims were seriously injured whereas 200 minor injured were provided first aid at the accidents' site by rescue officials across the province.
These 508 road traffic crashes affected 91 pedestrians; 286 passengers and 244 drivers. Total 121 RTAs took place in Lahore with 126 victims placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 52 in Faisalabad with 57 victims and Multan remained at third position with 32 RTAs and 38 victims.
According to the data of Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Rescue 1122, out of total 621 RTA's victims, 491 were males and 130 females, while age group of the victims show that 99 were under 18 year of age, 385 were between 18 and 40 year and rest of the 137 victims were reported above 40 years.
