The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday dismissed Pakistan state television's Managing Director (MD) Yousuf Baig Mirza. Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddiqui while hearing former MD of Pakistan Television (PTV) Ashraf Azeem's petition, challenging the appointment of Yousuf Baig Mirza, dismissed the current MD and appointed Engineer Mustafa Kamal Kazi as an interim head of the state television. The court also ordered the government to appoint new MD on merit within 30 days.
