Kite flying permission: LHC declares plea infractuous

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Umar Ata Bandial here on Friday declared infractuous a petition seeking permission for kite flying by holding that a mode was given by the law for kite flying and there was no ban on it. The court also disposed of three petitions seeking ban on kite flying with remarks that there were verdicts on the festival and the government has taken any decision in this regard so far.
Hafiz Adnan and other filed these petition. Counsel said that Supreme Court had banned celebration of Basant. He said in case the Punjab government held celebration of Basant, all responsibility of loss of human lives would be on the shoulders of the Punjab government.
