Slow business was seen on the wholesale grain market on Monday as most of the participants were on the sideline due to higher rates, dealers said. On the rice side, only one change was seen as Irri-6 Sindh low type gained Rs 10 to Rs 3390 while the best type held at the week-end levels, they said. Commodity analysts attributed fall in daily-intake to bullish trend in the prices.
They observed many retailers entered commodity market to make purchase, but just asked prices on expectations of fall, but they came back because of rising trend in the prices, they said. Prices were unchanged on the cereals, grams and seeds sector, they said.
