An election tribunal on Wednesday accepted the appeal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sheikh Waqas Akram against the returning officer's decision to reject his nomination papers, allowing him to contest the elections from NA-89 Jhang-IV. Earlier, a returning officer had rejected Akram's papers after his A-level certificate was declared fake. On NA-89, Akram face chief of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi.
