The second and last Blue Moon of the year will rise on March 31 for much of the entire world to catch a glimpse of it. If missed, people will have to wait till 2020 to see the next one.

The world experienced the first blue moon of 2018 on January 31, which was known as Super Blue Blood Moon. This weekend will mark the occurrence of two blue moons close to each other in almost 20 years. According to AccuWeather’s Astronomy Blogger Dave Samuhel, “The last time we’ve seen two blue moons within three months was in 1999.”

A blue moon does not actually mean the moon turning blue in color. It is, however, an event when we get to witness a second full moon in the same month. The first one was sighted on March 1 and the second one will be witnessed on March 31. The blue moon in Pakistan will be seen around 05:36 pm.

The weather forecasting service predicts that this rare event of witnessing two blue moons in one year will next be seen in 2037.
