Equities registered gains on the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) amid ascending transaction volume on Wednesday. The LSE-25 index moved up to 4079.65 points against 4020.22 points of Tuesday, showing an increment of 59.43 points, while transaction volume also registered increase following fresh buying activity.
According to brokers, the market is in positive direction and investment in dividend oriented shares can yield profit to the investors. Bata Pakistan Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, Adamjee Insurance Company, Treet Corporation Limited, Dawood Hercules Corporation, Kot Addu Power Company, Netsol Technologies Limited, Attock Refinery Limited, Nishat (Chunian) Limited and National Bank of Pakistan registered gains, while PPL, Pakistan Refinery Limited, FFC, Bank Al-Habib Limited, Bank Alfalah Limited, Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Reinsurance Company and Golden Arrow Selected suffered losses.
The gainers were ahead with the losers, as out of a total of 110 companies, 43 showed strength and were closed in green zone, nine suffered losses, while 58 companies stayed unchanged at their previous levels. Among the gainers, Bata Pakistan Limited gained Rs 90, Engro Corporation Limited was improved by Rs 3.34, Adamjee Insurance Company was appreciated by Rs 3.1, while Treet Corporation Limited, Dawood Hercules Corporation, Kot Addu Power Company, Netsol Technologies Limited, Attock Refinery Limited, Nishat (Chunian) Limited and National Bank of Pakistan were up by Rs 1.81, Rs 1.75, Rs 1.5, Rs 1.15, Rs 1.05, paisa-90 and paisa-86, respectively.
Among the losers, PPL lost paisa-55, Pakistan Refinery Limited was declined by paisa-51, FFC shed paisa-33, while Bank Al-Habib Limited, Bank Alfalah Limited, Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Reinsurance Company and Golden Arrow Selected shed paisa-5, paisa-5, paisa-3, paisa-2 and paisa-1, respectively.
