Lawyers won't let Musharraf flee from country: SCBA

25 Apr, 2013

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has vowed to block any attempt to allow Musharraf to flee from the country with the help of stakeholders. SCBA General Secretary Javed Iqbal Raja while talking to media persons here on Wednesday hinted that arrangements were being given final shape to allow Musharraf to flee from the country with the help of stakeholders.
He claimed that despite being involved in at least four high profile cases and his name on Exit Control List, Musharraf was being sent to Dubai. He added attempts were being made to malign legal fraternity by planting fake lawyers in their ranks. To a question, he said declaring Musharraf's farmhouse as sub jail was a discriminatory treatment. To another question he said the legal fraternity was fully supporting the resolution adopted by Pakistan Bar Council regarding Pervez Musharraf's case.
